Lace Mamba Global and Daedalic Entertainment Announce Publishing Agreement

Brighton based publishers Lace Mamba Global have signed a publishing agreement with award winning developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment for the release of three new projects. Having collected five German Game Developer Awards in the past two years, Daedalic Entertainment are the developers behind acclaimed titles such as Edna & Harvey: The Breakout and The Whispered World.

Well known for their innovative products and recent award winning title “The Whispered World”, Daedalic Entertainment are one the most up and coming adventure game developers in Europe and already have an established fan base which Lace Mamba Global are keen to expand with the release of the new titles.

The publishing agreement includes the products Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, A New Beginning and Deponia, which Lace Mamba Global will release in a number of territories including the UK.

Jason Codd, Lace Mamba Global’s European Director, has high hopes for the titles and is pleased to be adding such high quality adventure games to Lace Mamba Global’s already impressive catalogue: “We are delighted to have agreed this deal with Daedalic, they are one of the most efficient and talented developers out there and to have secured these titles is a great sign for Lace Mamba Global. Daedalic and Telltale Partner to Bring Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures to Retail in German-speaking Territories

German publisher and developer Daedalic Entertainment and Telltale Games, the leading independent digital publisher and developer of episodic interactive entertainment, announced today a new partnership to bring Telltale’s episodic series Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures to retail in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Daedalic will release a new episode of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures every month, starting with “The Last Resort” on July 27. The individual episodes will retail for SRP € 14,99, be packaged in an attractive flap-box and feature all-new full German voice localization.

The Whispered World: Trailer Heralds International Release on April 23

With the premiere of the fantasy adventure game’s English trailer, German developer heralds the upcoming international release of The Whispered World.

The Whispered World will be available worldwide through all major digital distribution portals from April 23. The breathtakingly beautiful game will be available at retail simultaneously in North America from publisher Viva Media and in UK, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain and Portugal from publisher Deep Silver. Deep Silver will also bring the title to retail in France on April 29.

Daedalic and Viva Media Announce North American Deal for Epic Adventure The Whispered World

Viva Media has announced today they have signed a North American publishing deal for The Whispered World with Daedalic Entertainment. The game joins hand-drawn graphics, classically composed music, and skillful storytelling into a unique gaming experience.

Viva Media CEO Carlo Voelker commented, “We are excited to bring this masterpiece of a fantasy adventure to the North American market and to the digital world.” Carsten Fichtelmann, Managing Director of Daedalic, added: "With so many gamers and adventure fans worldwide impatiently awaiting the release of The Whispered World, we are very happy to be working with Viva Media to bring this multi-award-winning game to stores analog and digital in North America."

The Whispered World is slated to launch in North America on April 26, 2010.

Daedalic to exhibit at GDC

Daedalic Entertainment is heading to San Francisco: Taking part in GDC and Game Connection, the Germany publisher and developer will also be exhibiting on the show floor as part of the German Pavilion (booth #802). From March 9 to 13, the Daedalic team will be meeting with international licensing and distribution partners, as well as developers and members of the press.

“In addition to meeting with new partners for our licensing portfolio and evaluating new games for our publishing, our main focus at GDC will be on the areas online entertainment and browser games”, said Carsten Fichtelmann, Managing Director at Daedalic Entertainment.
